Welcome To

A Will & A Way Counseling

A Will and A Way Counseling came about to help the millions of Americans who are motivated to address their on-going emotional and mental health needs.

A Will and A Way Counseling is a local mental health outpatient provider. This small private practice is conveniently located, and Telehealth Services are offered.

We know that creating change and interrupting patterns is not always easy.  Because your need for support can fluctuate, our services offered are tailored to your individual needs and goals. We believe having a trusted and neutral third party can allow you to “de-clutter” and evaluate what most needs your attention while promoting accountability, commitment, growth, and healing.

JULIE DONAHUE, LPCMH, LPC, NCC

Meet Our Founder

JULIE DONAHUE, LPCMH, LPC, NCC

Hi there! I’m Julie Donahue, a licensed professional counselor (LPCMH, LPC) in the states of Delaware and Pennsylvania, as well as, the Founder of A Will And A Way Counseling, LLC. I have been practicing for over 20 years with individuals and families. Witnessing and supporting them through their “work” has been one of the highest honors of my life.

My clients come to me for a variety of reasons, but most come here to gain a sense of what patterns are keeping them stuck. My role is to help foster a safe environment where you can begin to do “your work.” We explore what symptoms you are experiencing and look deeper at your relationships and environments you would like to change. We will work in a way that challenges loops and patterns in order to face what has been avoided so you can achieve greater satisfaction and fulfillment in your life. I use humor to help foster an environment that is safe and normalize our symptoms of stress.

Traumas can happen – big and small. Loss and suffering are a part of living.  Learning how to move through it and transform it can be critical for managing our stress, emotions, relationships, goals and overall enjoyment in life.

I specialize in EMDR therapy to work more directly and deliberately with the whole brain instead of just our conscious minds. Through bi-lateral stimulation (like REM sleep) I help facilitate your brain to resolve under-processed traumatic memories or negative life experiences that could be triggering your presenting issues, stressors, and relationships.  This is NOT a one-size fits all approach. I tailor therapeutic techniques to suit your personality and goals.

Allison Krauss Randall, LCSW

Meet Our Providers

Allison Krauss Randall, LCSW

Welcome!  My name is Allison Krauss Randall, LCSW, and I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 25 years of experience providing counseling services to women, men and children who have experienced trauma, loss and stress in their relationships and their lives. I am trauma informed and trained in evidence based practices such as EMDR as well as I have trained over 200 therapists nationally regarding the impact of trauma on our attachments and our relationships throughout the lifespan.

I know both personally and professionally how important healthy, meaningful relationships are to our overall well being. I also know the profound impact when our most important relationships are fraught with stress, hurt, betrayal and trauma. I understand what trauma can do to us when we are simply seeking loving, supportive connections. In my practice, I hope to create a “safe haven” where clients can feel a sense of calm in the storms of their current or past traumatic relationships to explore, process and heal the broken pieces of their hearts when our connections hurt rather than support.

Through this safe haven , one can process the impact of trauma on their relationships and themselves. I provide education, support and guidance so all clients can feel empowered to create change that is meaningful and sustainable within their lives with the hope they can finally create a loving relationship with themselves.

I am considered an expert in attachment across the lifespan and have testified through Family Court in all 3 counties regarding best interest of children who have experienced grief, loss, divorce, separation, and trauma on over 300 cases. In my clinical practice, I use a client centered approach while focusing on trauma informed care. During our session, I will choose modalities such as EMDR, polyvagal theory, attachment relational theory, narrative therapy and interactive support that fit your needs and your life.

Although you are coming to me for hope, healing and encouragement, I truly believe you are the expert regarding your journey. I hope to walk next to you as a coach, and guide providing a safe haven through the darkest moments of your healing and to remind you there is always a rainbow after the storm.
